Sorry for not updating sooner!

Yeah so it's definitely been like a mooooooonth since I've been on here.  Not all my fault!  I had a blog entry all typed up and going to be posted a week or so ago but then I accidentally shut down my Internet server and lost it.  So I decided to begin again.

There are lots of new things to talk about:

1) New calling

2) Engagement/wedding plans

3) School ending

4) The house

Actually that's a shortened version of all of what I'd love to be writing about, but it would take forever for me to do that, and I don't know that I have the patience.  So number 1:

NEW CALLING.

Obviously I was released from being the YW Secretary a few weeks ago, and then on Easter Sunday I was sustained as Visiting Teaching Coordinator for the Muncie 1st Ward.  So I get to coordinate VT companionships and compile reports at the end of every month!  Today I went for a training session with Sister Jefferson (the old coordinator) and Sister McCartney (the Relief Society president) and spent THREE HOURS there in training!  That's a lot of stuff for me to remember!  Luckily for me, it'll be stuff that I can catch on quickly...a lot of do it once or twice and you'll have it down pat.  The only thing that won't come that easily is getting to know the sisters in the RS...I've been in YW so long that I hardly know anyone! 

Also, Sister Goates and Sister McGrew decided with the Bishop's guidance that I could continue to work on Personal Progress until I'd gotten my medallion.  Exciting!  I'll have my work cut out for me this summer for sure!  Right now I'm working on "bearing one another's burdens that they may be light" and "comforting those in need of comfort."  I'll finish this!  So many good lessons to learn, and I have a feeling that those in Good Works are some of the most important yet!

ENGAGEMENT/WEDDING PLANS.

So...I've also become engaged.  Of course, I've been engaged for awhile and have been since I began this blog...just not made it public until recently.  For more updates on that, I've been keeping a wedding website for Kyle and me at http://www.mywedding.com/megankyle/.  Check it out when you can!

SCHOOL ENDING.

This means no more Comm classes!  I've not had a semester yet without a Comm course, so this is good news!  Also only two classes away from finishing my Core Curriculum after this semester, one of which I've signed up to take next semester (I just can't bring myself to get into walking class until I really have to).  The end of the semester means I'm almost done with learning about dance history (bleh) and will never have to learn more about geography if I don't want to (double bleh).  I welcome the end, even if I'm too lazy to pack up my stuff!  It'll be nice to just be working and not HOMEworking for a change.

THE HOUSE.

We got the house (actually that also happened a few weeks ago, but hey, it's still great)!  Kyle and I went through and marked the cracks in the walls and ceiling with Post-its and went to Menards to buy supplies for home improvement.  Along with wedding planning and updating family history, working on the house will be my summer project.  We also bought a fridge and washer and dryer this past weekend!  Things are coming around slowly but surely!

I'M EXCITED FOR:

1) Picking up my engagement ring tomorrow and being afraid to wear it because it is the shiniest thing I've ever owned.  Even more so than the costume jewelry I wore to pre-school and refused to take off.  

2) Watching the RM with Kyle tomorrow at his house.

3) Getting my appetite back (been sick lately).

4) Sleeping more during finals week.

Life is good.  The Lord loves us.  Love Him back!  He's given you everything you have!
